What You’ll Do

As the Sr. Graphic Designer on our Content Team, you will play a key role in content strategy as you design assets and provide insights on design decisions that support Learners in their leadership journey. The right person for this role understands how creativity and strategy go hand-in-hand. You won’t just design to spec, you will immerse yourself in our content and platform and design assets for responsive web and print output. You will also work closely with our Product and Marketing teams to drive product design, branding discussions, and art direction process.

Responsibilities        

  • Provide creative designs grounded in solid conceptual thinking with beautiful aesthetic expression
  • Create icons, graphics, infographics, etc. that visually convey complex concepts and “teach” our Learners
  • Create concepts and designs that both build a brand and stand alone in an individual asset
  • Participate in all aspects of the creative process, from brainstorming to delivery
  • Actively engage with content and provide strategic input on structure
  • Fearlessly defend the best interests of Verb and our customers by providing clear, constructive feedback to content creators as needed
  • Maintain accurate schedules/status for all design deliverables
  • Establish and uphold style standards for all content
  • Partner with our Marketing team to develop and maintain best-in-class brand standards, marketing assets and sales materials
  • Partner with our Product team to provide input on UI/UX design and general product look-and-feel
  • Attend customer strategy sessions for major clients to ensure seamless integration of brand standards
  • Manage work assignments and direction for 3rd-party design contractors as needed
  • Contribute to building a highly skilled, nimble, creative, solution-driven, and results-oriented team

Requirements

  • 5+ years graphic design experience ­– Degree in graphic design, advertising, or related field preferred
  • Experience conveying complex concepts through design
  • Experience in adaptive web design, illustration, and art direction
  • Proficiency in Adobe CS, HTML, and CSS
  • Demonstrated interest in designing for usability (UI/UX design)
  • Willingness to flex between working independently and partnering with other Designers as needed
  • Ability to manage contract design teams as needed for large projects
  • Comfort with and commitment to effective business process
  • Ability to take constructive criticism and change direction when needed
  • Excellent communication skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively present information in to internal and external clients
  • Resourceful self-starter who works well with others and is comfortable with ambiguity
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Basic copy-editing experience a plus
