Job Overview

As our Content Marketing Manager you will develop engaging, effective content throughout our customer journey – from awareness through retention. You will be telling the story of Verb and the problems we solve. You will report to the head of Marketing. Below is a list of your of what you will be mainly working on:

  • Write content to include blogs, service sheets, brochures, Web copy, white papers, video scripts, press releases, ads and more
  • Own Verb’s content marketing strategy and manage content calendar
  • Use your understanding of the Inbound Marketing funnel to create content to nurture leads from cold to red hot
  • Build organic growth through content planning, writing and optimization  
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams such as Sales, Product and Customer Success to create content
  • Champion Verb’s brand personality, tone and key messaging by ensuring it’s threaded throughout our content 
  • Create content that draws from reputable and diverse sources of scientific research and thought leaders strengthen Verb’s position as a trusted source for leadership development
  • Play a key role on the marketing team and in the execution of marketing plans, campaigns and tactics
  • Manage projects so that they are delivered on-time and on-budget
  • Use marketing technology and and recommend ways to create scalable marketing programs capable of measurable results

What You’ll Need To Be Successful At Verb

If you love to organize, have a strong work ethic and the wish to continue to improve Verb’s marketing function you’ll be very successful at Verb. Even more so if you become passionate about Verb’s vision, enjoy working in a team, as well as being an individual contributor, with the ability to effectively navigate through ambiguity and change. If you are an experienced Marketing Content Managers with B2B or HR experience and the desire to have an impact not only at work but in the world of leadership training programs, you are an ideal fit for this position!

The Ideal Candidate Will Have The Following Experience

  • 5+ years of creating high-quality original content in the B2B tech space
  • Experience in marketing, writing, and editing marketing content for a SaaS technology company and/or within the HR industry is a big plus
  • Experience developing all forms of content; original writing samples will need to be submitted prior to a face-to-face interview
  • Ability to write in a distinct tone of voice 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Proficiency in marketing automation software preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in a marketing or communications related field (optional)

  • Competitive annual base salary: $75,000 – $90,000
